Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit rolegal.com or write to us, why we process it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. As lawyers, we are also bound by professional secrecy under Romanian Law no. 51/1995: everything you tell us about a legal matter stays confidential.

Who is the data controller

Darie, Manea și Asociații SPRL (Darie, Manea & Associates), a professional limited liability law firm with its office at 61 Unirii Boulevard, Bl. F3, Entrance 4, 2nd floor, Apt. 208, District 3, 030828 Bucharest, Romania.

You can write to the same email address with any question about your data.

What data we process

  • Form data: the name, email address, phone number, subject and message you send us, the language of the page and the page the form was sent from.
  • A cryptographic fingerprint of your IP address (not the address itself), used briefly and only to block repeated submissions and abuse.
  • Browsing data (pages visited, where the visit came from, device), only if you accept analytics and advertising cookies.
  • Data you give us directly by email, phone or WhatsApp when you contact us.

Please do not send documents or sensitive data (for example health data or criminal records) through the form. If needed, we will ask for them through an appropriate channel once we agree to work together.

Why we process data and on what legal basis

  • To answer you and assess your request: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To represent you if you become a client: performance of the legal services contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and the lawyer's legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering rules (Law no. 129/2019) and professional record-keeping (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • To protect the website against abuse and attacks: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Traffic statistics and ad measurement: only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

Cookies and Google Consent Mode

On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change it at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

  • Strictly necessary: remembering your cookie choice. No consent needed.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising (Google Ads): enabled through Google Tag Manager only after you accept them.

We use Google Consent Mode v2 with every option denied by default. Until you accept, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. Google may only receive cookieless signals without identifiers, which it uses for aggregated and modelled statistics. The website uses no other tracking tools.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent data. It is used only by the firm's lawyers and staff. To run the website we use the following providers, which process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, protection against attacks, and the database where form requests are saved, located in Western Europe.
  • Resend, Inc.: sending the automatic email notification that tells us you have filled in a form.
  • Google: the firm's mailbox ([email protected]), the website fonts (Google Fonts, which receives your browser's IP address when a page loads) and, only with your consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads.

Data may also be disclosed to authorities or courts where the law requires it, or in cases in which we represent you.

Transfers outside the European Union

Cloudflare, Resend and Google are companies based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, as applicable.

How long we keep data

  • Form requests and correspondence with people who do not become clients: as long as needed to answer you, and no longer than 3 years after the last communication.
  • Client files: for the duration of our engagement and afterwards for as long as the lawyer's legal and professional obligations require.
  • IP fingerprints used to protect the forms: deleted automatically once older than one day (the clean-up runs at the next form submission).
  • Analytics data: for the retention period set in Google Analytics.

Your rights

Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) you have the right to:

  • find out what data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • ask for incorrect data to be corrected, or for your data to be erased;
  • ask us to restrict processing, and object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a structured format (portability);
  • withdraw your cookie consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before that.

Some rights may be limited by the lawyer's professional secrecy and legal obligations. Write to us at [email protected] and we will answer within one month. If you believe we have breached your rights, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro, or to the authority in your EU country of residence.

The WhatsApp and Google Maps buttons take you to services run by Meta and Google, whose own privacy policies apply once you are there. The call button opens your device's phone app.

Security

The website uses encrypted connections only (HTTPS). Access to the requests we receive is password-protected and limited to the firm's staff.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the way we process data changes. Last updated: 10 October 2026.
